The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. That's right. That was his first major motion picture. Now, I can't validate the movie because it is a really cheesy disney princess movie rated G. However, it's part of Chris's history and I fully support all his work. His next large film was with one of Hollywood's greatest young actresses...Lindsey Lohan (just kidding about the greatest crap, but you already knew that). He played the love interst in
Just My Luck.
It was a pretty major role for him, but the real fame wouldn't hit until 2009. Pine gor cast as the one and only Captain Kirk in the reboot of
Star Trek.
Let's just say that this movie was huge for me. I've collected several autographs from the movie and my most prized one being Chris's. I lost so many auctions for that card. However, I did manage to finally get my hands on one at a local comic book convention. For an undisclosed amount, I got my Chris Pine autograph card. Yes!
Anyway, Chris's other less known work is even better than some his mainstream work. Some titles include Carr
iers, Small Town Saturday Night, and
Bottle Shock. But why is he actor of the week? Well, glad you asked. This Friday, his new movie
Unstoppable comes out.
It stars Pine and Denzel Washington as two train operaters who must stop a rogue train that is carrying tons of dangerous chemicals ready to blow. It's an action packed thriller and Pine's first big film since his
Star Trek success. I can't tell you how excited I am for this movie. Go see it and check out
Star Trek if you haven't seen it. It won't disappoint
